The WiiM Pro Plus is a premium Hi-Res network music streamer designed to bring high-quality wireless streaming and multi-room audio to an existing HiFi system, integrated amplifier or pair of powered speakers. Building on the WiiM Pro, the Pro Plus focuses particularly on improved analogue sound quality, with an upgraded premium DAC, improved analogue-to-digital conversion and low-noise audio circuitry that make it especially suitable for systems where the streamer's own analogue outputs will be used.
At the heart of the WiiM Pro Plus is an AKM AK4493SEQ premium DAC featuring Velvet Sound technology, delivering a 121dB signal-to-noise ratio and exceptionally low distortion. This allows the Pro Plus to connect directly to the analogue inputs of an amplifier or active speakers without requiring a separate external DAC. For systems that already have high-performance digital conversion, optical and coaxial digital outputs are also provided, supporting bit-perfect output up to 24-bit/192kHz.
The Pro Plus is equally capable of bringing traditional sources into the WiiM ecosystem. Its RCA analogue input benefits from a Burr-Brown PCM1861 ADC, while an optical digital input provides another connection for compatible source equipment. Connected sources can then be distributed across a compatible WiiM multi-room system, making the Pro Plus useful as both a dedicated music streamer and a central streaming hub for an existing HiFi setup.
Streaming support includes Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer and SoundCloud, alongside AirPlay 2, Chromecast Audio, DLNA and Roon Ready functionality. Wi-Fi and Ethernet provide flexible network connectivity, while the WiiM Home App handles music playback, multi-room grouping, presets and EQ adjustment. A supplied remote control and compatibility with Alexa, Google and Siri add further control options, making the WiiM Pro Plus a flexible way to modernise a traditional HiFi system.
