Pro-Ject T2 Turntable

The Pro-Ject T2 is a premium manual belt-drive HiFi turntable designed to deliver a significant step up in vinyl performance while remaining simple to set up and use. Handmade in Europe, the T2 combines a substantial resonance-resistant plinth, heavy glass platter, precision 9-inch tonearm and factory-fitted Sumiko cartridge, making it an excellent choice for both newer vinyl listeners and enthusiasts upgrading their existing record player.

Its sub-platter belt-drive system uses an electronically regulated motor for accurate rotation, with convenient electronic switching between 33 and 45 RPM. A substantial 10mm-thick, 1.7kg glass platter provides a stable, low-resonance platform for records, while the stainless-steel axle and brass-bushing main bearing are engineered for smooth and consistent playback. The enlarged CNC-machined wood plinth and vibration-absorbing feet further help isolate the turntable from unwanted resonance.

The T2 features a 9-inch one-piece aluminium tonearm with an improved low-friction gimbal bearing assembly and spring-loaded anti-skating mechanism. Pro-Ject factory-fits the turntable with a Sumiko Rainier moving-magnet cartridge, featuring an elliptical diamond stylus. The cartridge and tracking force are pre-adjusted, allowing the T2 to deliver high-quality vinyl playback without requiring complicated initial setup.

Unlike the T2 Super Phono, the standard Pro-Ject T2 does not include a built-in phono stage, allowing it to be paired with the MM phono input or dedicated phono pre-amplifier of your choice. High-quality output terminals and the supplied Connect it E Phono RCA cable provide a solid connection to the rest of your HiFi system, while the removable dust cover and felt platter mat complete this versatile mid-range turntable package.
