The KEF LS50 Meta is an award-winning two-way passive bookshelf speaker designed to deliver exceptionally precise, immersive sound from a compact standmount cabinet. Building on the iconic LS50, the LS50 Meta combines KEF's 12th generation Uni-Q® driver array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™), making it an outstanding choice for premium stereo Hi-Fi systems, dedicated music listening and high-performance home audio where space is at a premium.

At the heart of the LS50 Meta is KEF's 12th generation Uni-Q® driver array, which positions a 25mm vented aluminium dome tweeter at the acoustic centre of a 130mm (5.25-inch) aluminium mid/bass driver. This point-source configuration helps distribute sound evenly throughout the listening space, creating precise stereo imaging and a wide, consistent sweet spot. MAT™ absorbs 99% of unwanted sound from behind the driver, reducing distortion and helping reveal greater clarity, detail and naturalness across vocals and instruments.

Every element of the LS50 Meta cabinet has been engineered around acoustic performance. Its precision-modelled low-diffraction curved baffle helps sound radiate cleanly without interference from hard cabinet edges, while internal cross bracing and Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) reduce unwanted cabinet vibration and colouration. KEF's patented off-set flexible bass reflex port, developed using Computational Fluid Dynamics, helps minimise turbulence and resonance for cleaner midrange reproduction and controlled, detailed bass.

With a 79Hz–28kHz frequency response, typical in-room bass response reaching 26Hz, maximum output of 106dB and recommended amplifier power of 40–100W, the KEF LS50 Meta combines audiophile sound quality with a compact and distinctive design.
