KEF KC62 Subwoofer

The KEF KC62 is an ultra-compact active subwoofer designed to deliver deep, accurate and powerful bass for HiFi, home cinema, gaming and music systems without the size normally associated with high-performance subwoofers. Its compact aluminium cabinet houses twin 6.5-inch drivers and 1000W RMS of Class D amplification, making the KC62 an excellent choice for customers who want serious low-frequency performance while keeping their audio system discreet.

At the heart of the KC62 is KEF's patented Uni-Core® force-cancelling technology, which combines both drivers within a single magnet system. This innovative arrangement allows the two 165mm (6.5-inch) drivers to operate back-to-back while significantly reducing the space required inside the cabinet. The force-cancelling configuration helps minimise unwanted cabinet vibration, while the increased driver excursion allows the KC62 to produce remarkably deep and controlled bass from its compact enclosure.

KEF combines Uni-Core® with P-Flex Surround, Smart Distortion Control Technology and its Music Integrity Engine® to maximise low-frequency accuracy. P-Flex uses a pleated design inspired by origami to resist the intense acoustic pressure generated inside the cabinet, while Smart Distortion Control helps reduce unwanted distortion. Powered by two dedicated 500W Class D amplifiers, the KC62 delivers 1000W RMS and bass extension down to an exceptional 11Hz, with a maximum output of 105dB.

Designed for flexible integration with both stereo and home cinema systems, the KEF KC62 features RCA and speaker-level inputs, KEF SmartConnect, adjustable low-pass filtering and a line output with high-pass filter. Five selectable Room Placement EQ settings allow performance to be optimised for free-space, wall, corner, cabinet or apartment placement, while compatibility with the optional KEF KW1 Wireless Subwoofer Adapter Kit provides additional installation flexibility. The result is a powerful compact subwoofer capable of adding genuine low-frequency depth and impact to everything from premium HiFi systems to immersive home cinema setups.
