Emotiva BasX A2+ Power Amplifier

The Emotiva BasX A2+ is a high-performance 2-channel stereo power amplifier designed to provide clean, powerful amplification for HiFi and home cinema systems. Delivering 160W per channel into 8 Ohms and 250W per channel into 4 Ohms, the A2+ offers substantial power and headroom for everything from compact bookshelf speakers to larger floorstanding loudspeakers.

Its amplifier architecture combines a heavy-duty linear power supply and oversized toroidal transformer with a high-current Class A/B output stage. The short signal path and robust power supply are designed to maintain control during demanding musical passages while providing the low distortion and wide frequency response required for detailed stereo listening.

The BasX A2+ can form the power amplification stage of a dedicated two-channel HiFi system when partnered with a suitable preamplifier, DAC or streamer with volume control. It can also be connected to the pre-outs of a compatible AV receiver or processor to provide dedicated amplification for the front left and right speakers of a home cinema system, freeing the receiver's internal amplification for other channels.

Both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs are provided for each channel, making the A2+ easy to integrate with a wide range of systems. Heavy-duty five-way binding posts accommodate banana plugs, spade connectors or bare speaker cable, while 12V trigger input and output connections allow automatic power control alongside compatible components.
